How many days must I work?
All volunteers are required to work a minimum of three shifts.
How can I increase my chances of being selected as a volunteer?
Volunteers are scheduled using a formula that takes into account the number of shifts they request to work and the number of years they have volunteered at the Championship. Therefore, the more days you are willing to work, the better your chances.
When I am not scheduled to work, may I use my volunteer badge to watch golf?
Yes. Your badge grants you access to the Championship for the entire week.
When will I know that I have been chosen to volunteer?
Volunteer schedules will be mailed at the beginning of March. Additional Championship information, the order form for a discounted weekly pavilion badge, and information regarding the Volunteer Appreciation Party will be included with your schedule. This packet will also include your volunteer badge. Keep the volunteer badge; it is your credential for the Championship.
Will free meals be provided during my volunteer shifts?
Complimentary meals are offered to those volunteers working during breakfast or lunch hours. We strive to provide working volunteers with meals in a timely fashion; however, sometimes meal delivery may be early, late, or not at all. If you are concerned about meal availability, you may opt to bring your own meal, eat at one of the many on-course concession areas, or eat before arriving for your shift.
When is the Volunteer Orientation?
Volunteer Orientation is Saturday, April 19. Additional information will be included with your schedule.
Can I ask for autographs?
No. Please refrain from asking players or caddies for their autographs or memorabilia while in your volunteer uniform.
