Vijay Singh Commits to Play in the EDS Byron Nelson Championship

Vijay Singh has officially committed to play in the 2007 EDS Byron Nelson Championship. Singh is ranked No. 2 on the TOUR money list and No. 7 in the world.

This will be Singh's ninth Championship appearance. He won the Nelson in 2003. He has captured 31 PGA TOUR wins and 22 international victories. This year alone, he won the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard.

Singh is ranked No. 1 on the PGA TOUR for standard statistics and for making consecutive cuts in 2007. He is also ranked No. 1 in the race for the FedExCup.

Robert Karlsson Accepts Foreign Exemption and Six Golfers Accept Sponsor Exemptions

Robert Karlsson has accepted a foreign exemption to play in the 2007 EDS Byron Nelson Championship. Karlsson, who is from Sweden, turned pro in 1989 and has seven international wins.

Karlsson was on the European Ryder Cup team, which placed first at the 2006 Ryder Cup. This year, his best PGA TOUR finish is T30 at the Masters Tournament. This will be his first Championship appearance.

Tommy Armour III, Kris Cox, Robert Damron, Carlos Franco, Jason Schultz and Michael Sim have accepted sponsor exemptions to play in the 2007 EDS Byron Nelson Championship.

Salesmanship Club Provides Educational Opportunities for More Than Just Elementary School Students

The J. Erik Jonsson Community School isn't the only place at Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers where education occurs. The Family Therapy Center recently announced three new, full-time pre-doctoral psychology interns, who begin therapy work with families in August. SCYFC received 100 applications from around the U.S. and Canada.

The interns spend 53 weeks working and studying full-time with the Family Therapy team as they fulfill the requirements of a doctorate in psychology. These interns are not the only students attaining "higher learning" at SCYFC. First and second year psychiatry fellows at UT Southwestern Medical School also attend courses led by SCYFC staff. These classes take place on-site at the new Family Works Center.
